Nel suo messaggio, The Rock parla direttamente al padre e vale la pena leggerlo. Inoltre, nel video pubblicato si vede il padre in attività e proprio un giovanissimo The Rock (ancora con i capelli) a bordo ring.

Ti voglio bene.
Hai infranto le barriere delle differenze di colore, diventando una leggenda del ring e la tua strada attraverso questo mondo è stata segnata da un sentiero.
Ero il ragazzo seduto sui sedili, che ti guardava e ti adorava, il mio eroe.
Il ragazzo che hai cresciuto per essere sempre orgoglioso delle nostre culture e orgoglioso di chi e cosa sono.
Il ragazzo che hai cresciuto con il più forte amore possibile.
Il duro lavoro.
La mano severa.
Il ragazzo che ti ammirava e che ha voluto conoscere solo le tue migliori qualità.
Che poi è cresciuto fino a diventare un uomo, che ha realizzato che avevi altri lati profondamente complicati che dovevano essere compresi.
Da figlio a padre.
Da uomo a uomo.
Fu allora che la mia adorazione si trasformò in rispetto.
E la mia empatia si è trasformata in gratitudine.
Grato per avermi dato la vita.
Grato per avermi dato la vita, per avermi dato le preziose lezioni della vita.
Papà, vorrei avere un’altra possibilità per dirti, ti voglio bene, prima che tu passi dall’altra parte.
Ma mi sei stato strappato via così in fretta e senza preavviso.
Andato via in un istante e non sei tornato.
Sto soffrendo.
Ma sappiamo entrambi che è solo dolore e passerà.
Ora porterò con me il tuo mana e la tua etica del lavoro, perché è ora di andare avanti, perché ho la mia famiglia da sfamare e lavorare.
