Dogman: gli Oscar respingono Garrone

Dogman è ufficialmente fuori dalla corsa agli Oscar.

Dogman, l’ultimo film targato Matteo Garrone, presentato al Festival di Cannes e vincitore di otto Nastri d’argento, era stato scelto come candidato italiano per gli Oscar da una commissione dell’ANICA. Il film è stato però scartato dall’Academy, che ha deciso di non includere il film di Garrone nella nuova shortlist.

Attualmente i film ancora in gara per l’Oscar al miglior film straniero sono Birds of Passage(Colombia), The Guilty (Danimarca), Never Look Away (Germania) Shoplifters(Giappone), Ayka (Kazakhstan), Capernaum (Libano), Roma (Messico), Cold War(Polonia) e Burning (Corea del Sud).

Ancora in corsa per la candidatura c’e Suspiria di Luca Guadagnino nella categoria Makeup and Hairstyling e in quella per la Miglior Canzone Originale.

Insieme alla shortlist della categria Miglior Film Straniero, sono state rese note altre liste di candidati provvisori. Per conoscere la rosa definitiva dei pretendenti dovremo invece attendere il 22 gennaio, giorni in cui verranno ufficializzate le candidature.
